The Quality of Wine is a topic in the Bible that is not usually discussed. Wine is a very important element yet its quality isn’t mentioned except when Jesus changed water into wine. The greatest of all its use is it represents the blood of Jesus in the Communion. It was necessary that quality Wine was made because there was no refrigeration.
Activities of Quality Wine in the Holy Scriptures.
In the Bible just about everyone drank wine. With no refrigeration, the quality of wine had to be of great importance, especially for the many ways it was used. There were some exceptions such as who indulged in wine. The Levitical priests (Lv 10:8-9) who took care of the Temple elements used it for service. The Nazirites (Num.6:3) and the Rechabites (Jer 35:1-3), did not indulge. In the New Testament, John the Baptist was one that abstained from wine. 1Sam 16:20 is the story of David and how he first met Saul, wine is mentioned. It had to be of quality to sustain on the trip. His Father had packed his donkey and made sure he had quality wine as well as food. Just to make it clear Jesus did drink quality Wine. (Lk. 22:18; Matt11:18-19; 26:27-29).

In the Old Testament, it shows that quality wine was very significant to the rulers. Take for example the tribe of Judah which is the tribe Jesus was birth from. A quote from Genesis 49:10-12 ( Message Bible) states: The scepter shall not leave Judah; he’ll keep a firm grip on the command staff Until the ultimate ruler comes and the nations obey him. He’ll tie his donkey to the grapevine, his purebred prize to a sturdy branch. He will wash his shirt in wine and his cloak in the blood of grapes, His eyes will be darker than wine, his teeth whiter than milk.
Genesis 14:18; King Melchizedek king of Salem blessing Abram with Bread and Quality Wine. Melchizedek King priest of God Most High. John 2:3 is about the story of Jesus changing water into wine at the wedding feast, the first miracle of the New Testament.

PART OF THE LEVITES SERVICE IN THE TEMPLE INVOLVED A Quality of WINE
Some of the Levites were in charge of the articles used in the temple service, others were assigned to take care of the furnishings and all the other articles of the sanctuary, as well as the flour and the wine. (1 Chr 9:29). In Isaiah 62:9 Message Bible it states: God has taken a solemn oath, an oath he means to keep; “Never again will I open your grain-filled barns to your enemies to loot and eat. Never again will foreigners drink the wine that you worked so hard to produce. No. The farmers who grow the food will eat the food and praise God for it. And those who make the wine will drink the wine in my holy courtyards.
Wine is also mention as part of the Tithe offering.
Wine is also mentioned as part of the tithe; Deuteronomy 14:22-26 Message Bible; Make an offering of ten percent, a tithe, of all the produce which grows in your fields year after year. Bring this into the Presence of God, your God, at the place He designates for worship and there eat the tithe from your grain, wine, and oil and the firstborn from your herds and flocks. In this way, you will learn to live in deep reverence before God, your God, as long as you live.
God wants His people to have a good time.
God shows mercy and compassion and wants His people to have a good time. Deuteronomy 14:24–26: But if the place God, your God, designates for worship is too far away and you can’t carry your tithe that far, God, your God, will still bless you; exchange your tithe for money and take the money to the place God, your God, has chosen to be worshiped. Use the money to buy anything you want; cattle, sheep, wine, or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice you and your household.
There is an eventful meal that the Lord will celebrate for all people with ” Wine” included. On this mountain, the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine– the best meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain, he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; He will remove the disgrace of His people from the earth. The Lord has spoken. Isaiah 25:6-8.
